Volunteer Ambassadors

Make the difference

Heathrow volunteers

We are proud that our Heathrow Volunteers are continuing after the success of the London Olympics and Paralympics. We will be providing our volunteers with all the skills and knowledge needed to help us deliver some of the world's most thrilling sporting events; including the London Marathon, the UEFA Champions League and a partnership with DR Who to celebrate 50 years of the show all in 2013. Volunteers also support the terminal with seasonal support, helping to improve the passenger experience by adding personalised assistance and a little bit of magic to each terminal.

The Volunteer Ambassador programme

The volunteer calendar is mapped to ensure the Heathrow Volunteer Ambassadors support seasonal events, peak arriving and departing dates and special one off events to the UK.

The Heathrow Volunteer Ambassadors work with our airport staff to make a difference and assist passengers with all queries no matter how big or small.

The volunteers are a unique and special part of Heathrow that invest time and passion to help passengers with simple wayfinding, repatriate lost items or family members, provide reassurance to anxious passengers and most importantly a friendly smile that really makes a difference. Heathrow Volunteers will continue to support key events to provide a unique welcome and scene setting.

The Heathrow Volunteer Ambassadors help form first and last impressions for passengers and key dignitaries.
